6 Sundays

October 18, 25 & November 1, 8, 15, 22

6:00pm - 7:30pm (PST)

"We can plant something new, in the burnt ground and in time we will harvest a new story of who we are." - Mpho Tutu

All of us wish to let go of the ties that bind us to resentment, self blame, victim mind, and that Incomprehensible feeling of stuckness that arises when we’re caught in the painful memories of the past. There Is a way to heal even from the depths of adversity. That healing provides the invaluable gift of forgiving ourselves and others.

Please join us for a special 6 week course exploring the art of forgiveness with Senior Mindfulness and Buddhist Compassion Teacher, Heather Prete. We will explore the paths set out in Tibettan Buddhism and the teaching of the Order of Interbeing set out by Thich Nhaht Hahn. We will also walk through the 4 fold path of forgiveness offered to us by Desmond Tutu and Mpho Tutu.

Learn the steps to:

  • Decrease suffering before we are ready to forgive
  • Care for the wounds that block our heart
  • The 4 fold path to forgiveness Tutu
  • Traditional Buddhist forgiveness practices
  • Self Compassion
  • Giving and Receiving (Tonglen)
  • Freedom!

"Forgiveness is not the first step on the path... We begin with the intention and desire to break free from the chains that hold our heart hostage... That intention brings us to understand the healing needed before we can forgive. Intention is our first step, but it is not forgiveness itself." - Heather Prete

CERTIFICATION REFUND POLICY: If cancellation occurs 2-6 weeks before the program begins, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs within 2 weeks before the program begins, no refunds will be given.
